Italy Costs and Money

Euro is the currency of Italy. Tourists may exchange their money in banks or post offices which also provide the best rates. Credit cards are accepted widely in Italy and they also include better exchange rates than travelers’ cheques or cash.
Italy can prove to be relatively expensive, with its luxury hotels, restaurants and fancy shops.
Tipping is quite common in Italy even though restaurant bills include service charges. One should be cautious with Italian bars and cafés which charge twice as much for sitting compared to standing.
Ideally one should plan a budget of about hundred to one hundred fifty euros a day for a rich experience of Italy.
